Ola Electric is diversifying its 4680 Bharat Cell Platform and has announced the same at Prarambh 2026, extending its application beyond electric mobility, as it includes residential energy storage and other use cases. 

This expansion has opened the sales of its 4680 Bharat Cells and 1.5 kWh 4680 Bharat Cell battery packs specifically for businesses and startups diversified across automotive, drones, humanoids, and portable medical equipment. 

The company will be also providing a residential Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) called as Ola Shakti which is designed, engineered, and produced in India, which is further powered by the 4680 Bharat Cells.

Ola Shakti Technical Details 

Ola Shakti comes with two configurations

  • 3 kW/5.2 kWh
  • 6 kW/9.1 kWh

The deliveries for the 6 kW/9.1 kWh variant are scheduled to start at the end of January 2026, while deliveries for the 3 kW/5.2 kWh variant are expected to start in mid-February 2026. 

Bharat Cell 4680 Products

Bharat Cell 4680 is now coming with various products, as Ola Electric has already started the deliveries of its Roadster X+ motorcycle, powered with a 9.1 kWh battery pack integrated with 4680 Bharat Cell, offering a claimed range of 500 Km on a single charge.

The company has also ramped up pan-deliveries of the S1 Pro+ with a 5.2 kWh battery pack utilising the same cell platform. The company states that 4680 battery cells will be soon operational in its two-wheeler lineup as well as residential energy storage products will serve as a common energy solution and stationary storage applications.
