Range Rover Electric Bookings Open in India: Price, Range, Battery, Features & Launch Details
The Range Rover Electric has officially entered a new chapter for the iconic luxury SUV brand. Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) has unveiled the production version of its first fully electric Range Rover and India bookings have now opened up from September 2, 2026. The SUV maintains the familiar Range Rover design and luxury, while using a large battery, twin electric motors and serious off-road capability.
For Indian buyers the biggest talking points are its 600 km claimed range, 118.5 kWh battery, 550 PS output, 850 Nm torque and 22 minute fast-charging capability. However, JLR has not announced the official India price yet. The model will arrive as an imported model into India, making it a highly premium offering.

Range Rover Electric India Price and Bookings

JLR has opened bookings for the Range Rover Electric in India, and the price is estimated around ₹3 crore to ₹3.50 crore, as the official price has not been announced yet. The SUV will arrive as a fully imported model. Bookings are currently available for the standard-wheelbase Autobiography, long-wheelbase SV, SV Ultra and SV Black, along with the standard-wheelbase First Edition.
The First Edition is offered with a choice of Belgravia Green, Santorini Black and Varesine Blue exterior finishes. Globally, the Range Rover Electric starts at £154,070 in the UK, although this international price cannot be directly converted into an India on-road price because Indian taxes, duties and market-specific costs apply. Therefore, buyers should wait for JLR India to announce the final ex-showroom price.
Range Rover Electric Battery and Range
One of the biggest highlights of the new SUV is its 118.5 kWh lithium-ion battery pack. JLR says the battery uses a double-stacked design with 344 prismatic cells and an 800-volt electrical architecture. On the WLTP testing cycle, the Range Rover Electric can travel up to 372 miles, or roughly 600 km.
JLR also gives an estimated real-world range of up to 535 km. The actual range will depend on factors such as driving style, temperature, road conditions, towing and off-road use. This makes the electric Range Rover considerably more practical for long distance journeys than many luxury EVs.
Range Rover Electric Charging Time

The SUV supports 350 kW rapid DC charging. JLR claims that the battery can charge from 10% to 80% in only 22 minutes under suitable charging conditions. A 10 minute charging stop can add up to 220 km of WLTP range. At home, the vehicle can use a 22 kW AC charger, with JLR quoting around seven hours for a full 0-100% charge. With a 7 kW AC charger, the quoted charging time is less than 19 hours. (Range Rover). In India however, actual charging times will depend on the availability and output of compatible charging infrastructure.

Range Rover has made it clear that electrification has not meant giving up the brand's traditional off-road ability. The electric SUV can wade through up to 900 mm of water and has a maximum towing capacity of 2,500 kg. Its electric traction system can react extremely quickly to changes in grip. JLR says its traction management system can respond in as little as 50 milliseconds, helping control wheel slip across different surfaces.
