Raptee T-30 Real-World Range Explained

The Raptee T-30 is the performance-oriented electric motorcycle from the brand and comes powered with a 5.4 kWh high-voltage battery pack, providing an IDC-certified range of 200 Km on a single charge. However, we recently had a talk with the user of the Raptee T-30 in order to know the exact real-world range he is able to extract with the electric motorcycle.

According to the user, the Raptee T-30 provided a real-world range of approximately 100 Km in mixed driving conditions. He shared his full experience of riding Raptee T-30 for a day and after covering a total of 100 Km. He had also done short highway runs to extract the potential of the electric bike. 

Raptee T-30 Real-World Range Test (100% to 0%)

According to Raptee, the claimed riding range is around 150 Km in Comfort, 100 Km in Power, and 80 Km in Sprint mode. However, in real world conditions, the user drove the electric motorcycle in a mix of Power and Sprint majority of the time and managed to extract 55-60 km of range before being dropped to 25% SOC.

Once the battery reaches 25%, the T-30 automatically switches to Comfort Mode, thus restricting the performance of the bike until you find the charging station. This means for a typical city commute of 30 Km a day, you will need to charge the T-30 once every two days. 

Raptee T-30 Charging Experience

Charging is one of the highlights of the T-30 as it is the first electric motorcycle in India to come with CCS2 compatible charging, which allows you to plug the T-30 in any car charging station. 20-80% of charging can be done in just 36 minutes using a DC fast charging. However, the onboard charger takes around 1 hour to charge from 20-80% using a standard socket. 

Conclusion

The Raptee T-30 is available at a starting price of 2.39 lakh (Ex-Showroom), at this price, it is more affordable than any other international electric motorcycle coming with the similar specifications. The CCS2 charging technology is one of the most attractive features that increases value.

However, limited real-world range means the T-30 can be a tough pick for those wanting enhanced range on a single charge. But apart from this, the Raptee T-30 is a genuine product engineered to attract the masses, especially for those transitioning from ICE motorcycles.
