The Indian electric two-wheeler industry is advancing year after year with the latest launches from multiple manufacturers in order to become a key player in the electric two-wheeler segment. Earlier, this market was ruled by new innovative startups, but now big manufacturers such as TVS and Bajaj have come up with their electric offerings to dominate the market.

Thus looking at the growth trajectory of this segment, legendary players like Honda and Suzuki have also entered the market with their latest launches, the Activa e and and e Access. At the Auto Expo 2025, Honda debuted the e Activa, and Suzuki rolled out the e Access at an exclusive event.

PRICE 

The Activa e was launched by Honda at a price point of Rs 1.17 Lakh (Ex-Showroom). Deliveries for the Activa e will begin in selected cities such as Bengaluru, Delhi, and Mumbai during the first phase. If we talk about the e-Access, it is expected to be launched later this year.

Honda has designed the Activa e on the same platform of the heritage Activa. They have incorporated the same design language of the Activa in order to use the iconic brand value of the scooter. 

On the other hand, Suzuki has used an all-new platform to design the e-Access. It is a completely new scooter and is completely different from its petrol variant. The company has worked on the suspension and equipped the e-Access with telescopic forks in the front and swingarm-shaped suspension at the rear. 

The scooter runs on 12-inch alloy wheels at the front and rear with 90/90 and 100/80 section tyres at the front and rear respectively. Let’s look at the dimensions of both the scooters.

Range Comparison

The Honda Activa e is equipped with Honda’s Mobile Power Pack e, featuring swappable batteries that supply energy to the motor located at the wheel, generating 5.6 Bhp of power and reaching a peak of 8 Bhp. It offers three riding modes: Standard, Sport, and Econ. According to Honda, the Activa e can achieve a range of 102 Km on just one charge. Additionally, it includes a reverse mode feature.

In comparison, Suzuki has used a completely different powertrain in the e-Access, as it extracts energy from a 3.07 kWh LFP fixed battery pack and generates 5.4 Bhp of power by the electric motor and a strong torque of 15 Nm. 

It has an electronically controlled top speed of 71 Kmph. You can select from three riding modes on the Suzuki e-Access: Eco, Ride ‘A’, and Ride ‘B’, and it also includes a reverse mode. Let’s present all the performances of both the scooters on a table and let’s see their performance numbers.

Features 

E-Access: When it comes to features, both scooters present noteworthy options, particularly the Suzuki e-Access, which is equipped with an all-LED system that includes LED DRL and a combined braking system for enhanced safety, twin front pockets and 24.4 litres of underseat space for added practicality.

It is also equipped with a digital console integrated with Bluetooth for seamless connectivity and a fuel lid opener remote. 

Activa e: Honda has loaded the Activa e with lots of features such as an all LED setup, a smart key with remote access, a full digital 7-inch TFT console. It also features dual pockets with a 15W USB-C port for charging the phones on the go. 

Honda has also equipped the Activa e with their latest Honda RoadSync Duo software which establishes a seamless connection with the rider’s mobile to make voice calls and to access various navigation functions by linking the smartphone through bluetooth.
