SwitchLabs is enhancing its electric heavy-duty fleet by adding 52 new trucks, each with a capacity of 55 tons.

SwitchLabs, which is an electric heavy-duty logistics company is expanding their fleet by adding a total 52 new electric trucks with the capacity of 55-tonne GVW across four locations during the month of October and November 2025.
This follows the deployment of commercial EV bulkers at JK Lakshmi Cement Ltd.’s Durg Plant, and is having a strategic alliance with Citizen Goods Carrier. JK Lakshmi which is deploying 25 trucks at two locations under the vision of its ‘Cleaner, Greener Logistics’ initiative especially for fly ash transportation.
The CEO of SwitchLabs, Ajay Pratap Singh, expressed his views on this and said, “Our joint partnership with JK Lakshmi Cement has set the vision of responsible logistics, where efficiency and performance are implemented together and with this expansion, we are setting a framework for a fully electric, sustainable heavy logistics network which will lead to a significant reduction in energy consumption, efficiency and operational economies.”
SwitchLabs will be operating more than 150 electric 55T tractor-trailers across major industrial corridors in India by the end of March 2026. This initiative has a striking resemblance to national sustainability goals with the industry’s constant efforts in order to develop the sustainable freight movements across the country.
According to SwitchLabs, they will be focussing heavily on fleet management and seamless technology integration to accelerate the adoption of electric heavy-duty logistics in India.
