Tesla is now processing refunds for the early orders of the Model 3 in India. What could this signify

Tesla has shockingly started refunds for the earlier bookings made by the customers for the Tesla Model 3 electric sedan. The duration of these bookings are years old. This is primarily due to Tesla discontinuing the older generation of Tesla Model 3, and instead launched an entirely new generation EV.
This move has also hinted at the company’s potential entry into the Indian EV industry, which is one of the most important events in the country’s automotive industry.
According to various reports, Tesla has started refunding the booking amount of customers who made their bookings for the Model 3 years ago. The company has also started sending emails regarding the cancellation of bookings to customers who made their bookings way back in 2016.
Tesla's email stated, "We will refund your reservation fee for the Model 3 bookings as soon as we begin our booking process in India. We will reach out to you again. We are hoping to see you back with us once we are ready with our latest offering and have started the delivery process in your country.”
This news has clarified that Tesla is soon going to disrupt the Indian EV industry by storm with its latest products and is ready to market themselves in the world’s third largest global automotive market.
This move also predicts about the company trying to clear their earlier transactions before the new models are officially introduced in India, with high import duties serving as a big hindrance in the company’s entry into the Indian market.
Tesla India has announced new job openings.
Earlier this year, we also reported that the company has started hiring for particular roles by posting job vacancies on their career page in different cities across India, which gave rise to various speculations about Tesla’s entry into the Indian market.
This action took place right after the meeting between Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Tesla's CEO Elon Musk. In the aftermath, the company has listed new job openings on its career page.
These new job vacancies include job positions for Store Manager, Sales Advisor, and Service Manager in New Delhi, with a vacancy for charging developers in Mumbai. This has increased the possibility of Tesla’s potential entry into the Indian automotive industry.
