ThunderPlus collaborates with Evey Trans to create a 1.6 MW electric vehicle charging hub close to Vijayawada.

ThunderPlus has entered into a strategic alliance with Evey Trans Private Limited in order to establish a 1.6 MW EV charging hub in Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh. This project will be focussing towards diversifying the charging infrastructure along the Hyderabad-Vijayawada transport route.

This proposed facility will be developed in a 1-acre site situated at Kunchanapalli in Tadepalli, which is located across the highway stretched across Hyderabad and Vijayawada. The charging hub will be serving the duties for buses, logistics, and commercial EV fleets, passenger electric cars, and electric two-wheelers running on inter-city routes. 

1.6 MW EV Charging Hub Details

This charging hub will have a total electricity generation of 1.6 MW. The facility is also made to support charging for more than 50 electric buses and more than 100 electric cars. The infrastructure will also include:

• 7 DC Chargers
• Battery Swapping Infrastructure
• Fast Charging Stations for electric 2-wheelers

Apart from charging services, the facility will also provide operational support which includes bus servicing and repair bays, spare parts storage, driver training infrastructure, driver boarding and rest areas with vehicle washing and maintenance zones. These facilities are installed in order to support the developing EV infrastructure and inter-city travel along the corridor.
