TVS has finally taken the wraps off their Orbiter Electric scooter, which was displayed in India a few months ago, and is all set to be launched on August 28. The Indian manufacturer will be revealing the production version of the electric scooter. This electric two-wheeler will be placed beneath the TVS iQube, recognized as one of the most successful electric two-wheelers in the nation.
TVS launches the iQube series with an initial price of approximately Rs 1 Lakh, reaching up to Rs 1.59 Lakh (Ex-Showroom). The prices for the Orbiter series of electric scooters could start under Rs 1 Lakh mark.
Upon its release, the TVS Orbiter is set to compete with the more affordable versions of the Bajaj Chetak and the Ola S1 X. TVS Motors has strategically planned the launch of its new scooter just at the beginning of the festive season, which is considered as one of the best times for automobile manufacturers to evolve their presence in the Indian automotive market, and with the potential launch of the electric scooter, TVS is expecting to ramp up their sales.
TVS Orbiter Expected Features
On the other hand, TVS has also basic formalities such as they have patented the design of the new electric scooter in Indonesia and according to sketches, the electric scooter looks like a premium offering from the homegrown brand, and could possibly be the Orbiter Series of electric scooters.
However, TVS has not confirmed anything about this officially. The patented images reveal sleek styling, big set of wheels, and a swingarm-mounted motor. It will feature sleek LED daytime running lights, squarish LED headlamps, LED taillights, a visor, a dual-colour designed theme, and inclusion of front disc brakes.
