Ultraviolette X-47 Skyforce becomes the newest addition to Kolkata Police's vehicle fleet.

Kolkata Police has added 183 units of the Ultraviolette X-47 Skyforce. The X-47 electric crossover has a new variant called as Skyforce developed specifically for law-enforcement use, which has been developed specifically to support integrated police equipment. 

Ultraviolette X-47 Skyforce Technical Specs 

According to Ultraviolette, the X-47 Skyforce has been developed exclusively for the Kolkata Police’s operational requirements. It comes with siren hooters, a public address system, LED blinkers, mic holders, walkie-talkie holders, and side panniers. 

The Skyforce addition comes with the same X-47 specs as it provides 211 Km of IDC certified range on a single charge with a claimed top speed of 145 km/hr. The rest of the hardware is also the same, as it gets the same 41 mm front USD fork at the front and a rear monoshock with 170 mm of wheel travel at both ends.

The braking hardware comes from Bybre, with a 320 mm front disc and a 230 mm rear disc. Thus, Ultraviolette and Kolkata Police have promoted electric motorcycles at large scale as it offers lower maintenance costs, as compared to traditional ICE motorcycles, thus making the transition financially as well as environmentally driven.
