Verge TS Pro is the first production electric bike in the world to feature a solid state battery.
Verge Motorcycles, which is a Finnish electric bike manufacturer, has disrupted the electric motorcycle segment by introducing a radical solid-state battery technology. Verge has become the world’s first production motorcycle to be equipped with solid-state batteries in its TS Pro supernaked performance-oriented motorcycle.
The TS Pro is also capable of supporting CCS2 fast-charging which can support fast charging up to 200 kW, which can give it a significant 80% charge in claimed 10 minutes, which is impressive and revolutionary in the electric motorcycle segment.
Verge TS Pro Electric Bike: Understanding the Advanced Technology
The TS Pro uses solid-state electrolyte instead of the liquid or gel-based electrolytes, which is mostly seen on conventional electric motorcycles. The solid-state batteries reduce the risk of fire.

The solid-state batteries have been tested heavily for years and are finally getting ready for mainstream automotive usage, although no electric manufacturer has implemented this technology in electric motorcycles. The Verge has become the first company to adopt this technology and it also implemented CCS2 fast-charging tech into the TS Pro.
Currently, there is very little information provided by Donut Labs which has placed this revolutionary new battery, which also includes the chemistry or manufacturing process.
Verge TS Pro Battery & Range
The battery technology is quite innovative, but there is also an introduction of Verge’s new version of hubless electric motor which has made its debut into the TS Pro. The TS Pro is available with an option of two battery pack options which includes.

- 20.2 kWh battery pack providing a significant range of 350 Km on a single charge.
- 33.3 kWh battery pack providing a significant range of 600 Km on a single charge.
Verge’s Hubless Electric Motor
The new version of the hubless electric motor works with the set of electromagnets attached to the inner wheel. What these electromagnets do is it repels the permanent magnets located on the wheel’s outer part, which causes the wheel to rotate.
POWER: According to Verge, the motor can generate a peak power output of 102 kW (138.6 HP), but what’s amazing is its massive torque of staggering 1,000 Nm. These numbers make the TS Pro capable of reaching 0-100 kph in claimed 3.5 seconds. This is quite impressive as the TS Pro is quite heavy and measures at 235 Kg.

The TS Pro also features various safety features which include adjustable regenerative braking levels, dual-channel ABS, traction control, and four driving modes which are further tuned for better performance which includes Range, Zen, Beast, and Custom. The first three modes are preset and are set for progressive increase of power, while the last one can be customized by the rider.
It also gets heated grips and cruise control which will help to smooth the driving experience especially on longer highway journeys. Users also have an option of choosing between a neutral, mid-set footpeg position with a forward, cruiser-like position.
TS Pro Price & Availability
The TS Pro is available at an introductory price of Rs 29,900 Euros, which excludes taxes, delivery charges and registration fees. However, it is priced competitively with the Ducati Streetfighter V4 in the international markets.

However, the TS Pro is equipped with some advanced battery technology and faster charging times which means that the future of electric motorcycles is bright, which have witnessed various struggles to mark their presence as alternatives to ICE-powered bikes.
