The VX-2 electric scooter from Vida Z has been introduced for the very first time

Hero Motorcop has introduced the glimpse of their new electric scooter on their social media platforms. The images of the VX-2 electric scooter were already leaked online some time back. The new electric scooter will be launched by the company on July 1.
The VX2 will occupy a position under the V2 within Hero's electric offerings. The VX2 will also feature a compact TFT display and gets the same switchgear present in the V2. However, the VX2 will be having a physical keyhole hinting that the scooter will be priced effectively for budget-oriented people.
VX2 Expected Powertrains
The VX2 is expected to be powered by multiple battery variants as it was spotted with a ‘Plus’ suffix, which means it could be powered by multiple battery packs.
The leaked visuals have also substantiated that the new electric scooter will be equipped with the same alloy wheels as those on the V2. The V2 is available with three variants and multiple battery packs for the users to choose from: it has V2 Lite, V2 Plus, and V2 Pro.
Focus on Cost-Effectiveness
Hero MotoCorp is working on a new dedicated platform for its electric vehicles, called ACPD, which is specifically designed for reduction in manufacturing costs in order to price their scooters in the highly competitive electric two-wheeler market, where new scooters are making their mark.
However, the new platform is still in development stage but the company aims to position their upcoming electric two-wheelers based on this platform to rival the traditional ICE scooters positioned in this segment.
The current production capacity of Hero is manufacturing 7,000 units per month. The rollout of their new scooters on the ACPD platform will result in a doubling of production capacity, reaching 15,000 units each month.
Bolstering the Dealer Network
Hero MotorCorp is evolving in the EV industry by pricing the Vida brand competitively in the two-wheeler market. The current dealership network of the company includes 203 Vida outlets, comprising 180 exclusive dealerships spread across 116 cities.
This growth of Hero Motorcorp focuses on increasing consumer accessibility and increasing reliability by providing smooth and efficient after-sales service across the urban and rural areas of the country.
At present, the Vida V2 electric scooter has a price range starting from Rs 74,000 up to Rs 1,15,000 (Ex-Showroom). There is a recent update of price which has made the scooter even more affordable thus giving stiff competition to its rivals out there.
