The Yamaha EC-06 has been introduced at a price of Rs 1.68 lakh.
Yamaha has launched their much awaited EC-06 electric scooter in India at a starting price of Rs 1.68 lakh (ex-showroom, Maharashtra). However, this model will be currently only sold in Maharashtra, Karnataka, and Tamil Nadu.
Yamaha EC-06 Technical Specifications
POWER: The EC-06 accompanies a 4 kWh battery pack paired with an electric motor capable of generating 6.7 kW of maximum power, which is similar to the Indie electric scooter. Yamaha claims a top speed of 79 km/hr, which is significantly lower than River Indie by 11 km/hr.
The EC-06 and Indie share a lot of parts in common, which also covers the chassis, which is similar to that of the Indie. The EC-06 also provides an IDC-claimed range of 169 km, which is 6 Km more than Indie.
According to Yamaha, the EC-06 can be charged from 0-80% in just 8 hours of time. The EC-06 can be charged via the company's 480W charger, but it doesn’t have the option of a 750W charger.
Yamaha EC-06 Design & Features
Visually, the EC-06 adopts a unique styling with a sleeker and sharper design as compared to Indie’s upright yet boxy design. The EC-06 gets traditional headlight and tail-lights. It also gets various features which includes a color LCD display, three riding modes, and reverse assist.
On the other hand, the LCD layout has a striking resemblance to the River Indie, which was launched last year with the new layout in the Gen 2.5. The EC-06 also gets sleeker panels and has a lower underseat storage of 2.5 litres, resulting in 3 kg of weight reduction as it stands a total of 132 Kg.

The EC-06 is around Rs 22,000 cheaper than the River Indie and costs at Rs 1.68 lakh.
