Ather has just revealed the name of their much-awaited electric scooter, called Konarc, and now, the scooter has been spotted testing on the roads of Bengaluru ahead of its official launch scheduled on August 29. 

Ather Konarc: What to Expect?  

According to the previous sightings of the upcoming electric scooter, the assembly line image was also shared by the CEO of Ather, Tarun Mehta. The latest spy shots confirm that Konarc’s design takes inspiration from the EL01 concept that was showcased at Community Day 2025.

The scooter also features handlebar-mounted headlight and wide DRL attached to the front apron, thus giving it a more conventional scooter look as compared to the sportier styling of the 450 range. As confirmed by the image, the scooter will also feature a fully digital instrument cluster.

However, the company has not yet disclosed the features but Ather is known for making intelligent technology, so it is expected that it will be carried over with the Konarc as well. 

The image also reveals that the scooter will be equipped with a 14-inch front wheel and 12-inch rear wheel, with the inclusion of a front disc brake and rear drum brake. The spotted test version also confirmed the presence of a swingarm-mounted motor, although its specifications are not revealed. 

Ather Konarc India Launch 

At launch, the Konarc will be positioned below the Rizta series and will be branded as Ather’s most affordable electric scooter, with an expected price of Rs 1 lakh to Rs 1.25 lakh. In this segment, It will compete with the entry-level models of the TVS iQube and Bajaj Chetak, which currently rules the electric scooter sales.
