What exactly is Ather SkidControl?

SkidControl is basically an advanced version of the Traction Control System (TCS) which is a standard feature in high-end performance bikes. Ather is the first company to bring this technology to the Indian electric scooter industry.

How does this technology work?

Ather scooters are equipped with high-speed sensors which detect the wheel speed hundreds of times per second. The moment it detects that the rear wheel is rotating faster than the front (sign of skid), it instantly increases the motor's torque. By hampering the power in milliseconds, it regains traction even before you realise you are in danger.
