Bajaj Chetak has created a significant milestone by registering sales of over 5 lakh units since its introduction in January 2020. What’s interesting is that more than 40% (Approx 2,06,366 Units) of these total sales happened during 10 months since November 2024.
Bajaj Chetak Sales Achievement Details
Bajaj Chetak has achieved this impressive record of 5 lakh units despite the recent issues by supply chain which is a shortage of rare-earth magnet that has disrupted Chetak’s production. But even after these restrictions, Chetak continued to be in the list of bestselling electric scooters in the country, even outranking their rivals like iQube by commanding majority of orders.
However, production has now seamlessly started and we can witness the recovery in a few months of time period. This widely acclaimed success is due to diverse variants on offer in the Chetak lineup and due to its widespread dealer network spanning across 3,800 touchpoints in India.
Out of the total sales number of 5,10,007 Chetak scooters sold, around 3,48,251 units were delivered within 20 months starting from April 2024. The company also achieved an impressive feat of shipping the last lot of 2,00,000 units from Bajaj's in-house manufacturing facility to dealers in less than 10 months of time.
The lineup of Bajaj Chetak includes a total of four models distributed across two battery configurations. The Chetak series is available at an introductory price ranging from Rs 99,900 and goes up to Rs 1.35 Lakh.
- Chetak 3001 powered by 3 kWh battery pack.
- Chetak 3501, 3502, and 3503 sourcing power from a larger 3.5 kWh battery pack.
