The Riki E-Rikshaw series has been launched by Bajaj Auto | Prices begin at INR 1,90,890.

Bajaj Auto Ltd. has launched its latest Riki e-rikshaw series, as the company has positioned this series specifically to support the three-wheeler driver community and has addressed major issues relevant in this current e-rikshaw segment. 

The industry demand for electric mobility is continually rising, with the e-rikshaw segment adding more than 45,000 vehicles in its portfolio. However, there are various challenges associated with this segment which includes limited real-world range, short vehicle life due to battery-related issues, braking, chassis stability, and limited support which is constantly affecting the operational efficiency.

Bajaj Riki E-Rikshaw Series Technical Specifications

The passenger model termed as Riki P4005 is powered with a 5.4 kWh battery pack and is priced at an introductory price of Rs 1,90,890 (ex-showroom). On the other hand, the commercial cargo model, Riki C4005, offers a larger cargo tray and provides 28% gradability. It comes at a price of Rs 2,00,876 (ex-showroom). 

Bajaj Auto has currently piloted the Riki series in Patna, Moradabad, Guwahati and Raipur. Soon they will be increasing their availability across more than 100 towns in Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, and Assam in the first phase.
