Bentley discloses information regarding the platform of its inaugural EV.
Bentely has finally disclosed their first details regarding the new platform engineered specifically for the company’s first EV. The all-electric Bentley EV is all set to be introduced in the international markets next year and will be defined as the brand’s first “Luxury Urban SUV”.
Bentley All-Electric Platform Details.
Bentley first EV will be equipped with “Industry leading charging capabilities” thus providing a significant range of around 100 miles (Approx 161 Km) of range in just seven minutes of fast charging. The all-new Bentley EV is all-set to provide 300 kW of charging speeds, which is impressive by EV standards.
However, the Lotus Electre is the only electric SUV that provides higher DC charging speeds of 350 kW as compared to the Bentely’s upcoming EV.
Bentley EV could derive inspiration from Porsche Cayenne Electric
The Bentley EV platform takes inspiration from PPE (Premium Platform Electric) skateboard platform developed by Audi and Porsche, so mechanically it could be compared directly to the upcoming Porsche Cayenne Electric. Both electric SUVs will be having similar dimensions and could measure under five meters long.

Porsche has claimed that the Cayenne Electric will get a 108 kWh battery pack integrated with dual-motor layouts. The Bentley EV could also feature a similar powertrain. Meanwhile, the Bentley EV is launched in the market, the British luxury manufacturer has confirmed that the global launch is scheduled for the end of 2026 and the deliveries of the Bentley EV will be commenced in 2027.
Bentley all set to feature Plug-In Hybrid models from the next decade.
Apart from the other details, Bentley has revealed that they are working on developing their plug-in hybrid lineup, which will include models like Continental GT and Flying Spur, which could be in production till 2035.
Bentley will be also featuring an exclusive all-electric model lineup by 2035, but the increasing demand for their plug-in hybrid vehicles have estimated their potential expansion and will serve as a mainstream alternative to the electric powertrains.
