2025 Tesla Model Y scores 5-Star Euro NCAP Safety Rating
Tesla Model Y has finally achieved high safety standards as it has scored five star ratings at the Euro NCAP. It achieved 91% for adult occupant protection (AOP), 93% for child occupant protection (COP), 86% for vulnerable road users (VRU), and 92% for safety assist systems.
2025 Tesla Model Y Euro NCAP Test Details
At the Euro NCAP, the left-hand drive (LHD) Model Y integrated with a dual-motor AWD configuration was tested, which is not sold in the Indian market. However, Tesla has clarified that these ratings are also applicable for the right-hand drive Model Y Long Range RWD, which is the top of the line model available in India.
The test version was equipped with 10 airbags, seat belt reminders with pretensioners equipped on all seats, ISOFIX child seat anchorages, autonomous emergency braking system, ADAS, an active bonnet and a driver monitoring system.
