The BYD Atto 3 is one of the first cars by the company to be launched in the Indian market. It comes with two BYD blade battery pack options: a 49.92 kWh and a larger 60.48 kWh battery pack. The cost of Atto 3 batteries ranges from Rs 15-18 lakhs, depending on which battery pack you choose.

BYD Atto 3 Battery Warranty

BYD provides comprehensive battery warranty for the Atto 3 in India as it covers the warranty period of 8 years or 1,60,000 km, whichever comes first. Apart from this, the warranty also covers the traction battery for high-voltage and degradation issues, which just provides a long term protection to the high-voltage battery of the electric SUV. 

Coverage: The warranty covers degradation even beyond specific thresholds, ensuring that the battery capacity remains intact. 

Exclusions: The warranty does not cover damages caused by flooding, or extreme external impacts such as rodent bites accidents, all these damages are not covered under the High Voltage (HV) battery warranty. 

Ownership: BYD has made the warranty transferable to the different owners, thus enhancing the value of their cars, irrespective of different owners. This is rare as many rival companies don’t offer lifetime battery warranties to the second owner as it is limited to the first owner only.
