Maruti Suzuki e Vitara has successfully scored 5-star rating at the Bharat NCAP, it was also tested by Euro NCAP where it scored 5-star safety rating for adult occupant protection (AOP) as well as child occupant protection (COP). 

The e Vitara is the fourth car in the Suzuki lineup to be tested after Dzire, Baleno and Invicto under the Indian Safety Assessment standards. Bharat NCAP has tested the top of the line Alpha trim with a substantial 61 kWh battery pack. However, these ratings are also applicable to the middle-spec variants such as Delta and Zeta with 49 kWh and 61 kWh battery packs

E-Vitara NCAP rating

The E-Vitara scored full points in the frontal (8/8) and side (4/4) crash tests particularly in the child occupant protection (COP) tests, where there are child seats of 18-month old and 3-year old dummies are placed in a rearward facing. 

The E-Vitara also received ‘Good’ protection as it protected the sensitive organs such as head, chest, abdomen and pelvis. The frontal offset deformable test also resulted as ‘Good’ for e Vitara as it provided good protection to the driver’s head, neck, pelvis, thighs and feet.
