EMO Energy has introduced NEXO, a comprehensive energy ecosystem designed for last-mile delivery.

EMO Energy launched their exclusive NEXO, which is the company’s integrated energy ecosystem, specifically developed to support last-mile delivery operations. EMO Energy is an energy-tech startup funded by investors such as Gruhas, Subhkam, and Transition VC.
This system will align solar energy with battery energy storage systems (BESS), EV fast charging infrastructure, and EMO powered vehicles connected through a central energy management software. The launch will initiate with 100 dark stores located in Bangalore and Delhi/NCR.
Understanding NEXO
With the rollout of NEXO, EMO Energy is dedicated to optimizing energy operations for quick-commerce dark stores through the unification of different components of the EV stack such as charging infrastructure, battery packs, software, and energy solutions into a single system. According to EMO Energy, this integration will result in energy savings for up to 25% and 40% reduction in overall energy costs.
The Co-Founder and CEO of EMO Energy, Sheetanshu Tyagi, expressed his views on this and said, “As the quick-commerce industry is rapidly scaling, it has led to a constant increase in operating costs like rents, manpower and inventory. Among these costs, Energy costs are only the one which can be controlled and stabilised, which can ultimately bring down the operational costs.
Currently most EV fleets are dependent on third party apps, charging infrastructure, separate battery vendors, and health monitoring software, which are not combined and provide limited customisable options, compatibility and performance.
However, our recently launched NEXO Energy ecosystem is a next level fully integrated system where every component of the energy supply chain such as the battery packs, software, and energy providers are streamlined through a central energy management software, which ensures all components work effectively in a synchronized manner.
Thus our dedicated in-house NEXO ensures optimum utilization of energy and will result in 25% energy savings and 40% cost savings at the dark store level.”
Components of NEXO Platform
SENS: This is EMO’s AI-powered health and energy management software, which ensures power distribution between solar power and grid input, ensuring optimum utilization of solar energy.
ZENBASE: It is a liquid-cooled energy storage system, specifically developed to ensure proper storage of energy.
SWFT Dual-Gun Fast Chargers: These are specially designed by EMO Energy and it can support power up to 20 riders per day.
ZENPAC: It is an in-house developed 2 kWh battery pack that has the capability to be charged to 80% in just 20 minutes of charge. These battery packs are already in operation and are currently being used in delivery fleets such as Blinkit, Zepto, Swiggy Instamart, BigBasket, and Domino’s across the network of 200 dark stores in 10 cities.
EMO Energy has announced that by the end of FY26, NEXO will be managing 20,000 delivery rides per month per store. This system will be generating around 25% of its energy from solar and supplying the energy in areas with limited infrastructure.
