Hispano Suiza's electric hypercar, boasting 1,115 Hp, deliberately keeps its technology under wraps.

Hispano Suiza has showcased the technical details of its hypercar, Carmen Sagrera, which generates 1,115 Hp. The company has carefully hidden its electronic systems, so as they are less noticeable to the driver. 

According to the Spanish manufacturer, Carmen Sagrera has been designed in a way that its software and control systems operate seamlessly in the background, thus establishing a direct connection between the driver and the car. 

The company has displayed the technical specs as the first impression of the car, rather than highlighting the large digital interfaces or heavily advanced driving features. 

Carmen Sagrera Technical Specs 

The Carmen Sagrera is the third model under Carmen’s lineup and comes powered with a fully electric drivetrain generating a maximum power output of 1,115 Hp and peak torque of 1,160 Nm. The company claims a 0-100 km/hr in a staggering 2.6 seconds. 

The Carmen Sagrera also features a proprietary electronic platform called Hispano Suiza Driver Dynamics (HSDD). The system handles the stability, traction, torque delivery, power distribution, and different driving modes. 

The company states that HSDD brings together all electronic control functions, which includes traction control, active yaw modulation, braking management and active safety systems. All these systems are designed to process real-time vehicle data and adjust a car's behaviour based on driving conditions. 

This Hypercar also comes with Electronic Torque Stabiliser, as it controls regenerative braking and can apply negative torque independently to the rear wheels in order to enhance the stability at high speeds. The system also manages energy recovery and range optimisation. 

More than 100 Sensors 

According to Hispano Suiza, the Carmen Sagrera collects data from more than 100 sensors which are located throughout the vehicle. These sensors keep track of parameters such as wheel speed, brake pressure, steering inputs, chassis movement, battery status, acceleration, temperature and altitude. 

The company claims that the software can analyse more than 200 million instructions per second, as it continually manages traction, stability, power delivery, and regenerative braking.
