Hyundai increases its EV charging infrastructure to exceed 30,000 charging points.

Hyundai has announced plans to enhance its charging presence in the country by providing access to more than 30,000 EV charging points across India through strategic alliances with multiple charging operators (CPOs).

Hyundai's charging network is accessible to all brands and allows users to find local charging stations, navigate, and book charging slots in advance and make digital payments via a single platform. 

Hyundai Charging Ecosystem 

The company stated that the charging network provides charging facilities within an average radius of every 25 km across the country. The app also covers the charging stations installed at major routes such as 

• Delhi-Gurgaon-Jaipur 
• Mumbai-Pune-Bengaluru 
• Mumbai-Ratnagiri-Goa 
• Chennai-Vellore-Bengaluru 
• Hyderabad-Kurnool-Bengaluru

Apart from third party charging access, HMIL currently has a charging network of 183 DC-fast charging stations across 105 cities. The company plans to diversify its charging infrastructure to 600 stations by 2030, with installations to be done across cities, highways and Hyundai dealerships. 

According to Hyundai, more than three lakh EVs use charging services via myHyundai app between January 2023 and June 2026. During this period, the network generated 50 lakh kWh of electricity which led to a significant reduction of 3.5 million kg of CO2 emissions. 

Hyundai all set to launch Mass-Market EV

The company has also confirmed to launch an affordable mass-market electric SUV during the current financial year. The upcoming vehicle will expand the company’s electric lineup for India.
