VinFast has patented its Viper electric scooter and a new electric motorcycle in India.
Vinfast has submitted a design patent in India for its two electric two-wheelers. One of them is the most awaited Viper electric scooter and an electric motorcycle inspired by the Sulad concept showcased earlier in 2026. These patents indicate that Vinfast is all set to enter the highly competitive two-wheeler segment.
VinFast Viper & New Electric Motorcycle Details
According to previous reports, the sporty-looking electric scooter resembles the VinFast Viper patented in India in June, although there are some design cues in order to differentiate which includes a twin-pod headlight instead of the Viper’s single-piece unit and more rounded body panels.
AdvertisementHowever, the latest design patent has a striking similarity to the Viper sold in Vietnam markets, featuring angular styling, five-spoke alloy wheels, hub-attached electric motor, and overall silhouette which matches with the production model.

POWER: The current-generation Viper is powered by a 4.8 kWh battery pack paired with a 3 kW hub-mounted electric motor.
The electric motorcycle patent is one of the most interesting ones as visually it takes inspiration from VinFast Sulad concept revealed earlier in 2026 as the brand’s dedicated strategy to expand its electric motorcycle segment. However, Vinfast has not revealed any technical specifications of the concept, but expects it to be equipped with a 50 kW electric motor with an expected top speed of 130 km/hr.
Vinfast Viper Electric Scooter Expected Launch
As per Vinfast, the scheduled timeline for the launch of electric scooters could be in 2026, as Vinfast is planning to introduce three models from its Vietnam portfolio for consumers in the market. However, Vinfast has not revealed the exact launch date regarding the Viper and the electric motorcycle, but we will update the story once any information is available.
