Hyundai India has announced that they have registered more than 4,000 units of the Hyundai Creta Electric. This electric SUV is one of the most affordable EVs of Hyundai available in India and also rivals in the most competitive SUV segment where Tata has solidified its presence with its variety of electric vehicles. 

Apart from Hyundai revealing these numbers of selling more than 4,000 units of the Creta Electric, the numbers are still low as compared to other electric SUVs like Tata Nexon EV which also record consistent sales of 3000-4000 units per month. MG Windsor EV on the other hand is also one of the most popular electric cars in the segment and is doing pretty well in terms of sales. 

The MG Windsor EV also provides the option of Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS) which gives the opportunity to the user to buy the fully loaded with a wide range of modern features available for a budget-friendly price of Rs 9.99 Lakh (Ex-Showroom).The Windsor EV is also selling at 3000-4000 units per month which is at par with Hyundai Creta Electric and has emerged as one of the most popular EVs in India. 

COST: In terms of the cost factor, the Hyundai Creta Electric is quite a costly car, exclusively for those consumers who are looking for a value for money preposition from their EVs. The cost of the Creta Electric ranges from Rs 17.99 Lakh to 24.37 Lakh (Ex-Showroom). 

Hyundai Creta Electric: What it Brings to the Table

The Hyundai Creta Electric represents the all-electric model of the Creta SUV. Visually it is identical to its ICE models, however it comes with various EV design like elements which differentiate it from its petrol counterparts and gives it a unique look. These elements include a closed front panel, aero designed alloy wheels and more. 

If we look at the interior features of Creta Electric, it is loaded with modern features which highlight the cabin of the SUV. These features include voice-based smart panoramic sunroof, Bose sound system with eight-speakers, In-car payment system, Digital key, dual-zone automatic climate control, ventilated front seats, and rain sensing wipers. 

  • It is also equipped with V2L technology which allows the SUV to become a power source to charge the electric appliances and gadgets and it can also charge other EV via V2V technology.
  • The Creta Electric is equipped with two substantial screens: a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system and a matching screen for digital information display.
  • To energize this large SUV, Hyundai has equipped it with two battery options: a 42 kWh battery pack and a more substantial 51.4 kWh battery pack. The Creta Electric provides a significant range between 390-473 Km.
