Hyundai has shown a glimpse of its all-new Staria MPV, and it will be soon launched in the UK and European markets, as confirmed by Hyundai. The upcoming Staria Electric will go against the likes of the recently launched Kia PV5 and the Ford E-Tourneo Custom.

The car was first revealed at the Brussels Motor Show, as the Staria electric is underpinned by the same platform as the petrol version of the Staria MPV launched in 2021. The model was previously sold in Europe with a diesel engine, but now is converted into a fully-electric drivetrain.

Hyundai Staria Electric: Battery, Motor & Power

POWER: The power is channelised via 84 kWh lithium-ion battery pack integrated with an electric motor, driving the front wheels, churning out max power of 219 hp. According to Hyundai, it has a claimed top speed of 183 kph and has a towing capacity of up to 2,000 kg.

Despite being made on an ICE-platform, Hyundai has made this platform compatible with 800V high-voltage architecture. This ensures a rapid charging from 10-80% in just 20 minutes of DC charge.

Hyundai Staria Electric Design & Features

Visually, the Staria Electric is quite similar to the ICE-powered Staria. However, the electric variant is differentiated by the addition of some front-end changes such as a redesigned bumper.

It comes with a tall silhouette, twin sliding doors, wraparound LED light bar and big windows. Dimension-wise, it measures 5,255 mm in length and 1,990 mm in height, and commands a wheelbase of 2,375 mm long wheelbase. Hyundai is all set to start the sales of Staria Electric in Europe in the first half of 2026.
