The Electric Sub compact segment is on fire as it is anticipating two important launches at the Bharat Mobility Auto Expo 2025. Hyundai is gearing up for the launch of Creta Electric and utilizing the brand of the most selling SUV to its best of use, and the other side biggest manufacturer, Maruti has also made its official entry in the EV industry by introducing E-Vitara. Surely it’s a treat for EV enthusiasts, but also raises confusion as which SUV provides better features and is a bang for your buck, so we have brought a detailed specification comparison to draw out which SUV is providing the best features in the sub-compact SUV segment.

Features Comparison

Creta Electric

The new Creta will feature an all new 10.25-inch dual-screen setup, a panoramic sunroof, ventilated front seats, and an 8-speaker Bose sound system with a digital key. The Creta Electric is heavily upgraded with safety features as it will get 6 airbags, a 360-degree camera, a blind spot monitor, and an electronic stability program (ESP). It even gets a hill hold assist and Level 2 ADAS.

E-Vitara

Maruti has redefined their brand by loading the E-Vitara with many first time features in a Suzuki car. It consists of a dual-display setup, a panoramic sunroof, ventilated seats, a wireless car charger, connected car tech, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The Indian spec model will also get a 360 Degree camera, six airbags, Electronic stability control (ESC), hill hold, and ADAS.

Interior Comparison

Creta Electric

Hyundai has given quite a distinctive look from its ICE version, as now it boasts a new redesigned steering wheel and it is quite similar to the one seen on the Tucson facelift, which just made its global debut months back. Unlike the normal Creta, it also features a minimalist lower center layout and the conventional gear lever is now replaced with a gear selector mounted like stalks on the steering wheel. Creta EV also gets two cubby holders and switches to power the front seat ventilation.

  1. Boot space is now at 433 liters and it also gets a 22-liter front trunk at the bonnet.
  2. It even gets an electric boss mode, multiple USB Type-C ports and rear window subblinds.
  3. Creta EV is also tech loaded as it gets memory settings for the driver adjustment, an electric boss mode and foldable tables at the back of the front seats to give added convenience to the rear passengers.

E-Vitara

Maruti has just surprised the EV community with a very European look rather than a futuristic EV looks. They have tried to give a modern look with conventional interiors. E-Vitara gets a dual-tone black and brown theme. There is addition of a new two-spoke steering wheel with flat top and bottom ends, and they are styled by silver accents on the doors and steering wheel.

  1. It gets a charging pad, two cup-holders and an electronic brake with auto-hold.
  2. Maruti has dropped conventional gear sticks and given a modern rotary-styled driver mode selector with a few switches.

Battery & Motor Comparison

Both cars will get two battery pack options, Hyundai is offering Creta EV with single motor, whereas E-Vitara will be getting either a single or dual-motor setup.
