MG Windsor EV Maintenance Costs and Expenses 2026

The Windsor EV stands out as the most popular electric car in MG’s lineup for India as it is widely accepted by the majority of Indian consumers. It comes with an option of a smaller 38 kWh battery pack and the larger 52.9 kWh LFP battery pack. The maintenance cost of MG Windsor EV stands at Rs 2,000-5,000 annually, depending on which battery pack you choose.

Under the Battery-As-A-Service program, owners have to pay an additional Rs 3.5 per km for battery usage, which is called as a rental cost applied exclusively from regular maintenance and charging costs. Below we have also mentioned the MG Windsor EV annual maintenance cost breakdown.

Windsor EV Battery & Major Maintenance

MG provides a 3-3-3 service package for the Windsor EV, providing 3 years of labor-free maintenance (First 3 services). The regular service intervals are scheduled every 15,000 km or 12 months, whichever comes first. The detailed service schedule is mentioned below.

• 1st Service (15,000 km / 12 Months): General Inspection, Cabin air filter check, and suspension check.
• 2nd Service (30,000 km / 24 Months): These include major services including the replacement of brake fluid, coolant top-up, and potential reducer oil check.
• Subsequent Services: Repeated after every 15,000 Km intervals. 

Comprehensive Service Packages: MG is also providing various service packages with options offering around Rs 2,499 for basic, Rs 4,999 for standard, to 7,499+ for the comprehensive.

Battery Maintenance: The high-voltage (HV) battery needs very less maintenance but it is recommended to fully charge the battery at least once every two weeks.
