The Nissan Qashqai e-POWER has achieved a new Guinness World Records™ title for its global efficiency.

Nissan has successfully achieved a new milestone for e-Power, which is its unique hybrid technology as the e-Power secured Guinness World Records title for the longest journey completed by a non plug-in extended-range electric vehicle SUV without external charging or refuelling. 

Nissan's e-Power technology covered 1,980 km on a single tank. This record-holder drive showcased the real-world efficiency, thus reflecting the range, confidence and capabilities of Nissan’s e-Power technology. 

Nissan e-Power Guinness World Record Details 

This record-setting drive was organised in Columbia from 14 to 17 July 2026, travelling from Bogota to the Caribbean coast and covering a variety of terrains, road and driving conditions. Every part of the journey was thoroughly monitored and verified by Guinness World Records judges, who issued the certificate by following a detailed review process.

The e-POWER’s latest generation comes with Nissan’s advanced 5-in-1 modular powertrain which combines the electric motor, generator, inverter, reducer, and increaser into a highly reliable package. 

It also comes integrated with regenerative braking technology and optimises energy use to increase the efficiency without sacrificing performance.
