Varroc & Forsee Power Announce Strategic Joint Venture
India’s electric mobility is witnessing a revolutionary phase, with the increasing demand for reliable and localised battery solutions. In order to achieve this, Varroc Engineering Limited and France-based Forsee Power have announced a strategic partnership for increasing the production of EV battery packs across the country.
Varroc will be utilising its manufacturing expertise and OEM relationships with Forsee Power’s advanced battery technology. Together, they will cater to the rising energy needs of the Indian EV landscape.
Varroc & Forsee Partnership Details
According to this strategic alliance, Varroc will have a substantial 45% equity stake in Forsee Power India, which is the French entity’s dedicated Indian subsidiary for battery-pack systems.

Apart from this equity play, Varroc will be responsible for the management and operational control of the subsidiary. In order to back the development and day-to-day operations, Varoc will be subscribing to Optionally Redeemable Preference Shares (OCRPS). Once the regulatory and corporate approvals are provided, the newly formed powerhouse will be ready to hit the ground.
Focussing on Three-Wheelers
The joint partnership will be focussing on designing and manufacturing battery packs exclusively for three-wheelers, a segment which is very important for India’s last-mile connectivity. Once they have set the foundation, they will also expand into:
- Two-Wheelers
- Light Commercial Vehicles (LCVs)
- Buses and Heavy Trucks
- Off-Highway and Industrial Applications
The prime objective is to develop highly adaptive, cost-effective battery systems that are specifically designed to different vehicle platforms and expand local operating conditions.
