The CEO of Vinfast Asia, Pham Sanh Chau expressed his views on this and said, “localisation is at the top priority for countries like India. He also added that since Vinfast did not join the FAME scheme, as they did not achieve a specific localisation level as set by the country, but we are still in talks with a local battery manufacturer.”
Chau also expressed further by saying that, “Currently, our localisation is around 15% and we are planning to take it to 40% soon. Once we have batteries, localisation will increase rapidly.”
However, Vinfast has not announced its supplier yet, but as said that discussions are going on with multiple suppliers, and soon there could be any developments.
