The Jetour T2-based SUV from JSW Motors has been spotted in great detail.

Jeteour T2 has been spied up close on the Indian roads, as a camo-clad test version of JSW Motors was caught in closer detail. The T2-based vehicle will be the company’s first car for India and will be offered in a Plug-in hybrid powertrain. The electric SUV will be assembled at JSW Motor’s manufacturing facility situated in Chatrapati Sambhajinagar in Maharashtra. 

JSW Motors Jetour T2-based SUV: Spy Shots Design 

Looking at the spy shots, the design takes inspiration from the T2 SUV sold in the international markets, as even the tail-lights, roof rails, and wheels are similar to the SUV sold globally. 

The design patent was registered early this year in India, which suggests that the JSW SUV could be heavily based on the T2’s design elements, while replacing the Jetour branding with their own. 

INTERIORS: However, the spy shots didn’t reveal the interior of the SUV. For reference, the international-spec Jetour T2 is equipped with a substantial 15.6-inch touchscreen, 540-Degree camera, Level 2 ADAS, panoramic sunroof, Sony Surround-audio system, ambient lighting, wireless charging pad and a powered tail-gate. 

JSW Motors Jetour T2-based SUV Expected Battery & Range

The JSW SUV is expected to be powered by Jetour T2-i-DM’s plug-in hybrid powertrain, which comes with a 1.5-litre direct-injection turbo-petrol engine and a 26.7 kWh battery pack that sends power to two electric motors. 

One of the motors is attached to the front axle and drives the wheels. The other motor is paired into the gearbox to provide assistance especially during engine starting and torque during gear shifts. 

POWER: The Jetour T2 Plug-in hybrid generates a combined power output of 381 Hp and 610 Nm of peak torque. It is also expected to come with a 3-speed dedicated hybrid transmission (DHT). 

The global-spec T2 i-DM has a NEDC-certified electric-only range of 139 Km, while the combined range stands at over 1,000 Km (Brand-Claimed). Currently, the technical specifications are not revealed.

The expected price for the Jetour T2-based SUV could fall in the price range of Rs 38 lakh to Rs 40 lakh (Ex-Showroom).
