Kinetic has diversified its electric scooter line-up with bigger battery pack options, providing a new 3 kWh variant on the DX and 3.1 kWh for the DX+ version. The DX gets a claimed 132 Km IDC range, which is up from 105 Km on the current DX+. However, both variants will be sold with the existing 2.6 kWh models.

Kinetic DX series Battery Update

With the claimed range of 132 Km IDC on the DX+, Kinetic is estimating a real-world range of 105-110 Km in realistic driving conditions.

POWER: The new version comes powered with a 3.8 kW hub-mounted electric motor as compared to the 4.78 kW on the existing DX+ 2.6 kWh variant. It also misses the Turbo riding mode, retaining the Range and Power modes.

The DX 3 kWh comes at a starting price of Rs 1.19 Lakh, while the existing DX 2.6 kWh is priced at Rs 1.11 Lakh. However, Kinetic has not disclosed the range or motor output for the new 3 kWh DX variant. The new versions are additional upgrades rather than replacements, and the current website of Kinetic lists both the 2.6 kWh and substantial battery versions of the DX and DX+.

This comes just after the brand revealed that they are also looking for overseas markets for the DX, which includes Turkey, Nepal, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Kenya, Nigeria, and Egypt. The export plans will give the DX a wider market to target as Kinetic is adding more range oriented versions to its electric scooter portfolio.
