Mercedes GLC Electric bookings will commence in October, to be launched in December 2026.
Mercedes-Benz has announced that they will start the bookings for the new GLC electric from the first week of October, with the launch scheduled to take place in December 2026. The all-electric GLC will be locally manufactured in India.
Mercedes has also stated that the GLC Electric will be the fastest international vehicle to come as an assembled model in India, within just six months of sales period in Europe.
Mercedes-Benz GLC Electric Technical Details
POWER: The GLC electric will be coming in 400 4Matic version that comes powered with a 94 kWh NMC battery pack and provides a claimed range of 715 Km as per WLTP cycle. It comes powered with a dual-motor setup, integrated with an All-Wheel Drive configuration. The combined power output stands at 490 Hp and 800 Nm of peak torque.

According to Mercedes, it can accelerate from 0-100 km/hr in just 4.3 seconds, which is pretty impressive as per SUV standards that weighs over 2,500 Kg. It also comes with rear-wheel steering as standard.
The GLC Electric will be coming to India in its standard wheelbase version with 2,972 mm of significant wheelbase between the front and rear axles. The GLC Electric also comes with an extended 55 mm wheelbase in China, however the brand has opted to go for the usual long wheelbase variant for India with the GLC Electric.
Mercedes-Benz GLC Electric Design Details
Visually, the GLC Electric is quite attractive in design and not polarising as some of Mercedes other recent models. It also houses the brand's new signature star-themed LED lighting elements, a large illuminated grille and rounded proportions that is typical Mercedes style.

As we already mentioned that it will be locally assembled, the GLC Electric is expected to be priced competitively, which is expected to be priced in the range of Rs 80 lakh to Rs 90 lakh (Ex-showroom).
