The Next-Gen Oben Rorr EZ is set to launch on August 5. Here’s what we can expect from it.

Oben Electrics are all set to reveal their next generation Rorr EZ electric motorcycle on August 5. First introduced in November 2024, the pre-bookings for the next-gen electric motorcycle will begin from the day of launch, as the company will be commencing the deliveries from August 15 only. 

The manufacturer will be engineering the e-motorcycle with Oben’s state-of-the-art high-performance LFP battery technology, which the company claims to be 50% higher heat resistance which results in an increased battery life, thus enhancing the reliability of the e-bike across India’s diverse terrains. 

Apart from this, Oben has not provided any specific details on the upcoming motorcycle. However, the company has hinted that the new e-motorcycle will be specifically designed for daily urban commutes with specific enhancements to enhance the daily ride experience. The teaser image also reveals that the new bike will be taking the majority of design inspiration from its current model. 

Oben O100 Architecture 

At the start of 2025, Oben Electrics took the wraps of their latest O100 platform that will be used to develop electric motorcycles under Rs 1 Lakh models. 

The Oben O100 platform is exclusively manufactured in-house at the company’s R&D center in Bengaluru. According to the company, the new platform is designed to accommodate multiple variants and battery options, which will be further classified into various consumer segments. The new platform is designed according to the pre-set standards and helps in seamless integration of advanced technologies and infrastructure development. 

Oben Rorr EZ: Features & Performance 

The consumers can choose the next-gen Rorr EZ with multiple battery packs, starting from a 2.6 kWh battery pack available at a price of Rs 99,999. A substantial 3.4 kWh battery pack costing at Rs 1,19,999 and a bigger 4.4 kWh battery pack priced at 1,29,999. 

The E-motorcycle has the ability to reach the top speeds of 95 Km/hr and can reach 0-40 Kmph in just 3.3 seconds. The newly launched Rorr EZ is capable of returning a IDC certified range of 175 Km on a single charge, followed by a peak torque of 52 Nm. 

Additional features consist of Geo-Fencing, Theft Protection, Unified Brake Assist (UBA), and Driver Assist System (DAS).

This motorcycle offers a variety of color choices including Surge Cyan, Electro Amber, Lumina Green, and Photon White.
