Vida offers a new 5-year warranty plan for its battery, ensuring long-term protection.

Hero MotoCorp’s electric company, Vida has introduced a new extended warranty plan that provides comprehensive protection for 11+ important components of Vida scooters and an extended battery warranty that provides coverage for 5 years or 60,000 Km, whichever comes first and is provided for other subscription plans as well.

Vida is offering a comprehensive extended warranty for first time buyers that will be covering more than 11 critical parts for the time of 4 years or 75,000 Km, whichever comes first.
Apart from this, the company is also providing extended battery protection for 5 years or 60,000 Km, whichever comes first, and this covers battery degradation, performance deterioration and unexpected battery related issues. These extended warranties are an addition above the regular 5 years/ 50,000 Km warranty that comes standard with the scooter, taking the total warranty period to 10 years.
Vida has also addressed one of the major issues of EV ownership, and that is the resale of EV vehicles, as Vida is also promising a buyback with up to 67.5% of the original ex-showroom price, thus giving their owners a hassle-free buying experience.
The company has also introduced an exclusive subscription plan that offers seamless connectivity and unlimited fast charging subscription across Vida’s charging stations and also providing various connected features via the brand’s exclusive mobile app. This subscription will also provide vital information like battery health, and exact locations of nearby charging stations and OTA updates.
These warranty will give a sense of confidence to many buyers who want to switch to EVs, especially the ones who will be experiencing the EVs for the first time, however the pricing and transferability conditions are still not clarified by the company.
Vida has also introduced their cost-effective VX2 range of electric scooters and users also have the option of Battery-As-A-Service subscription plan. The VX2 comes at an introductory price of Rs 59,940 and comes with 2.2 kWh and 3.4 kWh battery pack options.
