The Vida VX2 will debut on July 1, featuring BaaS.

Hero MotoCorp is all set to introduce their sub-brand Vida’s latest electric scooter VX2 at the Indian market on July 1. The Vida VX2 is an economical take on the Vida V2, providing three different variants: V2 Pro, V2 Plus, and V2 Lite.
The Vida V2 lineup of electric scooter is competitively priced in the range of Rs 1 Lakh to Rs 1.40 lakh (Ex-Showroom) price of Delhi. Going by different variants, The Vida VX2 will take on the likes of Ola S1 Air, TVS iQube, Bajaj Chetak, as all these electric scooters share the same price range at around Rs 90,000 (Ex-Showroom).
Vida VX2 BaaS Scheme
Hero MotoCorp has applied a different marketing strategy here as they will be providing the scooter with Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS) scheme, which provides the customers to opt for a subscription plan for the battery pack, depending on their daily running.
This scheme allows the users to buy the scooter without paying the actual cost of the battery, if chosen, the users will pay a monthly fee or kilometer based charges to the company for the battery pack, in simple terms the user has not purchased the battery pack but instead rented it.
If the user opts the BaaS scheme with the Vida VX2 then the scooter will cost at Rs 70,000 (Ex-Showroom), making the scooter even more cost-effective than the actual cost of the scooter.
Vida VX2 Technical Specifications
The Vida VX2 will reflect the design elements of the previously launched V2 scooter, serving as a more understated version of the V2. It will be having some features chopped off from the highly positioned V2 scooter. However, the VX2 will incorporate multiple features such as an all LED lighting system with a TFT display present at the instrument cluster.
The Vida VX2 will also feature several removable battery pack options ranging from 2.2 kWh to 3.4 kWh. According to the company, The VX2 is expected to offer a significant range of over 100 Km on a single charge. The range might vary depending on which battery pack you choose.
