BYD Atto 2: Launch Date & Expected Price

The BYD Atto 2 is expected to launch in India by December 2026. It will be positioned in a compact B-segment electric SUV and will go against the likes of Tata Curvv EV, Vinfast VF6 and the Hyundai Creta Electric. Globally, it comes with a smaller 45.1 kWh and a substantial 51.1 kWh battery pack.

The upcoming Atto 2 is expected to come in India featuring BYD’s DM-i plug-in hybrid powertrain in some regions and provides an estimated range of roughly 420 Km on a single charge. The Atto 2 comes paired with a Permanent Magnet Synchronous motor (FWD). The electric motors generate 177 hp of maximum power and 290 Nm of peak torque.

BYD Atto 2 Expected Price India

The BYD Atto 2 is expected to launch in India at a starting price of Rs 18 lakh to Rs 25 lakh (Ex-Showroom). BYD will be combining their signature blade battery technology with highly advanced features such as 12.8-inch central touchscreen integrated with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

It also comes with an 8.8-inch LCD instrument cluster, 50W wireless phone charger with active cooling, heated/ventilated front seats, and a panoramic sunroof/moonroof. The interior is crafted with eco-friendly vegan leather upholstery with customisable ambient lighting. 

Safety features include six airbags, ISOFIX child mounts, Hill Descent Control, and Traction Control System (TCS). The Atto 2 will be also equipped with Adaptive Cruise Control, Lane Keep Assist, Blind Spot Monitoring, Automatic Emergency Braking (AEB), and Traffic Sign Recognition. 

The Atto 2 also comes with V2L (Vehicle-to-Load), which makes the car power external devices from the car’s battery. It will also come with a flexible trunk with adjustable floor offering up to 1,320+ litres of maximum space, when rear seats are folded.
