The Telangana State Road Transport Corporation's fleet now includes 65 electric buses thanks to EveyTrans.
Evey Trans Private Limited, which is an electric bus operator working under Megha Engineering & Infrastructures Limited (MEIL), has entered into a joint partnership with the Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TGSRTC), giving a green signal to 65 electric buses from the Ranigunj Depot under the TGSRTC 500 Low-Floor City Bus Project.
This addition of electric buses will expand the electric bus network in Hyderabad’s public transportation system. These 65 buses will be the part of 100-bus allocated for the Ranigunj Depot, which has now an enhanced network connecting CNT, Miyapur, HCU, and Hayatnagar. The overall 500-bus initiative includes 450 non-AC and 50 AC low-floor electric city buses.
TGSRTC has a total fleet of 325 buses and the remaining 175 are expected to join by January 2026. The launch event at the Ranigunj Depot was graced by Transport Minister Shri Ponnam Prabhakar, Hyderabad Mayor Gadwal Vijaya Laxmi, TGSRTC VC & MD Shri Y.Nagi Reddy, Evey Trans CEO Shri Sandeep Raizada, along with other officials of TGSRTC.

The Telangana Transport Minister, Ponnam Prabhakar, expressed her views on the occasion and said, “These new buses will be connecting 373 colonies. Over the last two years, our commercial fleet has registered a growth of 40% and we have also increased the employment opportunities for recruitment of new staff in order to strengthen our core services.
We are also committed to solve consumer problems by ensuring cleanliness, launching new buses and establishing new bus stations in order to enhance public transport facilities. I am very happy to witness the addition of 65 new buses today, which will further strengthen the urban connectivity.”
