The current dealer application window is reportedly open until September 15, 2026, suggesting that the company's electric two-wheeler launch is moving closer. However, VinFast has not yet announced an exact India launch date, official prices or India-specific specifications.

VinFast had already announced in January 2026 that India would be one of five priority international markets for its electric scooter expansion, alongside the Philippines, Indonesia, Thailand and Malaysia. Among the scooters being considered for India are the Evo, Feliz II and Viper, although their India launch has not yet been officially confirmed by VinFast. VinFast has now opened another round of dealer applications for its electric two-wheeler business, with applications closing on September 15, 2026. This is the company's second dealership initiative for the Indian two-wheeler market, following an earlier application round that closed in July.

Which VinFast Electric Scooters Could Come to India?

VinFast has a large electric two-wheeler portfolio in Vietnam. In January 2026, it announced an international expansion plan covering Flazz, Evo, Feliz II and Viper, along with other models that could be introduced later. However, reports specifically concerning India have pointed towards three scooters, Evo, Feliz and Viper, as the likely first products. VinFast has already introduced these products in other markets. VinFast lists a maximum speed of 70km/h for the Evo and a claimed range of around 85km with one battery, increasing by around 80km with the additional battery under its stated test conditions.

The scooter also features an in-wheel/hub motor, LED lighting, digital instrumentation and smartphone-connected functions. VinFast's Indonesian specification lists a two-battery range of up to around 150km, although specifications can vary between markets. For India, the Evo could become VinFast's more accessible electric scooter if the company localises the product and prices it competitively.

2. VinFast Feliz II

The Feliz family is designed as a larger and more practical urban scooter. The newer Feliz II is part of VinFast's battery-swapping product strategy and was introduced alongside the Evo and Viper. VinFast has already offered the Feliz II in Vietnam and Indonesia, making it one of the more established products in its international electric two-wheeler portfolio.

Its positioning could make it relevant to Indian buyers looking for a comfortable family-oriented electric scooter rather than a sporty model. 3. VinFast Viper

The VinFast Viper is the sportier-looking model among the three scooters expected to form the initial international line-up. VinFast's current Vietnamese portfolio lists the Viper with a top speed of 70km/h and a claimed range of up to 156km with two batteries. It uses removable LFP battery packs and a hub-mounted motor. 

The Viper also gets features such as LED lighting, a digital instrument cluster, smart-key functionality and battery-swapping capability in markets where the system is available. The model has also attracted attention in India because VinFast has filed a design patent for the Viper. This does not by itself confirm that the exact patented version will be launched here, but it is an indication that the company is preparing several electric two-wheeler designs for the Indian market.

VinFast currently sells its scooters at considerably different prices across markets, due to differences in taxes, battery ownership models, localisation and distribution costs. For example, VinFast's Vietnamese website currently lists the Evo at VND 18.8 million without the battery and VND 24.1 million with the battery. 

These figures cannot be directly converted into Indian ex-showroom prices because India-specific taxes, localisation, CKD costs, dealer margins and battery policies will affect the final price. If VinFast manages significant local assembly and localisation, its scooters could target the mainstream electric scooter segment rather than being positioned as expensive imported products. 

VinFast Electric Scooter Manufacturing in India

VinFast already has a manufacturing facility in Thoothukudi, Tamil Nadu, which forms an important part of its Indian expansion strategy. Reports on the company's two-wheeler plans indicate that the first electric scooters could be brought in as CKD (Completely Knocked Down) kits and assembled in India, with local manufacturing and greater localisation being explored later. 

This approach could allow it to enter the market faster while gradually developing a local supply chain. The company's broader India localisation push is also underway. Recent reports indicate that VinFast has been working with more than 300 Indian suppliers as it looks to increase local sourcing for future products. Actual range can change depending on riding speed, traffic conditions, rider and passenger weight, road gradient, tyre pressure, riding mode, use of lights and other electrical systems, and many more. Therefore, the official India-certified range will be more important than the internationally claimed figures once VinFast announces its Indian models.

VinFast will enter a highly competitive Indian electric scooter market. It will have to compete with established products from TVS, Bajaj, Ather, Ola Electric, Hero Vida and other manufacturers.
